Talk is cheap. 

…Not really. At least when it comes to adding automatic voice transcription to life story writing.

That new technology goes by many different names, including:

– Automatic Voice Transcription (“Auto Voice”)

– Automatic Speech-to-Text

– Automatic  Speech Recognition

And others.

What Auto Voice does is automatically transcribe what you say into text, so you don’t have to type that content in by hand.

It makes writing (and other jobs) faster, easier, and more fun – – – which is why we have added it to The Life Writer app. I think that not having to type can also free up your creativity, because typing seems to be more of a taxing mental process, at least for me.   

Our software provider, VARDOT (https://www.vardot.com/en) successfully added automatic voice transcription to The Life Writer a few months ago – for the first time ever – and we are grateful for it.

The job wasn’t easy.

DESCRIPT (https://www.descript.com/) located in San Francisco, is developing the world’s first audio word processor and they have compiled a nice historical summary on Automatic Speech Recognition.
