Truth: Stranger Than Fiction

I saw a story in the New York Times (by Emily Eakin) and had to chuckle because it was so strange.

Emily describes how Ron Stallworth, an undercover Colorado Springs police officer, infiltrated the local Klu Klux Klan chapter back in 1978.

What makes Emily’s article especially interesting is the fact that Ron is black.

Ron’s mission was successful, and he decided to recount the experience inside a 2013 memoir.

The updated book: BLACK KLANSMAN – RACE, HATE, AND THE UNDERCOVER INVESTIGATION OF A LIFETIME is currently ranked #4 on the New York Times Bestsellers list.

…Oh, and Spike Lee also decided to make a movie about it. That movie: BLACK KLANSMAN is playing in theaters now.

Congratulations, Ron!

While most of us are not undercover police officers and our lives not dangerous, our story still matters – and especially to our family and loved ones.

Truth is stranger than fiction, and especially with life story memoirs.
